Philip is a consultant to Sedgwick Kelly LLP and was admitted as a solicitor in 1985. He began his professional career in civil litigation and he is now an experienced business lawyer. Presently, his practice is mainly non-contentious and for more than 15 years Philip has acted predominately for SME’s and charities across a broad range of sectors. His principal interests lie in all aspects of business law, employment law, intellectual property law and the law governing charities. Philip’s experience of advising clients extends from the cradle of start up through to successful "exits" on sale or merger or simple retirement, via the various stages of growth. Philip advises on a full range of company and commercial matters and transactions, including restructuring and reorganisations; acquisitions and disposals of companies and businesses; joint ventures; equity and debt financing; agency franchise and distribution agreements; internet trading and distance selling; data protection; copyright and trademark protection; employment matters in all forms. Philip is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and of the Charity Law Association.
